Slovenska Bakla – Simbol Olimpijskih Vrednot in Povezovanja

Tudi letos smo nosili olimpijske sanje, tudi letos smo imeli začrtano pot do njih! Ne le do Pariza, kjer potekajo Igre XXXIII. olimpijade moderne dobe, naša pot je bila natančno začrtana tudi po Sloveniji. Skupaj z našo slovensko baklo smo širili vrednote olimpizma, povezovali ljudi iz vseh koncev države in navduševali vse udeležence trimesečne poti. S tem smo želeli našim športnikom in športnicam, ki so v času iger zastopali barve Slovenije, vliti dodano moč in motivacijo še pred otvoritveno slovesnostjo.

Zgodba Slovenske bakle

Zgodba slovenske bakle se je začela pisati pred olimpijskimi igrami v Tokiu. Rojena v pepelu in ognju jeklarne v Ravnah na Koroškem pri olimpijskem sponzorju SIJ – Slovenska industrija jekla, je bakla v sebi nosila večstoletno jeklarsko tradicijo, obenem pa je predstavljala poklon vsem vpetim v njeno izdelavo in vsem slovenskim športnikom in športnicam. V srčici vsakega elementa je tlel močan simbolizem, kar je dalo bakli poseben, avtentičen slovenski duh. Ročaj je bil izdelan iz bukovega lesa, ki simbolizira modrost in samozavest, objemali so ga pet olimpijskih krogov. Le-ti so simbol povezovanja, ene izmed ključnih vrednot Mednarodnega olimpijskega komiteja. Plamenica, oblikovana kot krona in z vgravirano silhueto Triglava, je bila izdelana iz nerjavečega jekla, ki simbolizira trdnost in trajnost. Plamen v kroni bakle je širila toploto in svetlobo, simbol upanja.

Potovanje Slovenske bakle

Slovenska bakla je kljub mladosti postala prepoznaven simbol olimpizma pri nas. Svojo pot je v tokratnem olimpijskem obdobju pred igrami v Parizu začela na vzhodu države, tri mesece je potovala po Sloveniji in zamejskih območjih, širila olimpijski duh, nato pa svojo pot zaključila na skrajnem severozahodu države. Po treh letih počitka se je na pot podala 100 dni pred začetkom iger – 17. aprila 2024 – s tromeje Slovenije, Madžarske in Hrvaške v občini Lendava, olimpijski duh pa je z baklo nazadnje obiskal občino Kranjska Gora na Trgu olimpijcev v Mojstrani, kjer je pot končala, kot jo je zaključila – na stičišču treh držav: Slovenije, Avstrije in Italije. Od bakle smo se skupaj poslovili 13. julija 2024. Tudi letos je bakla osvetlila Slovence in Slovenke v zamejstvu. Ustavila se je v Gornjem Seniku na Madžarskem, v Opčinah nad Trstom v Italiji, Reki na Hrvaškem in na koncu pod Ljubeljem na avstrijski strani Karavank.

Povezovanje in aktivnosti

Bakla na potovanju po Sloveniji in zamejstvu ni obiskala le občin in širila olimpijskega duha med prebivalstvom, temveč se je srečala tudi z nekaterimi našimi sponzorji in partnerji. Skupaj so obljubljali številne zabavne aktivnosti in nagradne igre tako za krajane kot za vse obiskovalce in nosilce bakle. Prepričani smo, da je bakla tudi letos navdihnila občine po Sloveniji, medtem ko je svojo pot premagovala na različne načine ter z zanimivimi prevoznimi sredstvi. V rokah približno 10.000 nosilcev je kljubovala vsem vremenskim razmeram in tako širila olimpijski duh pred potovanjem v Pariz. Baklo so na njeni poti spremljali športni navdušenci različnih generacij, vse od vrtčevskih otrok, osnovnošolcev, dijakov, zaposlenih, invalidov in športnikov s posebnimi potrebami, rekreativni člani

slovenske športne družine in stanovalci domov za starejše občane. V njeno popotovanje so bili vključeni prav vsi. In nenazadnje, med nosilci so bili tudi nekdanji vrhunski slovenski športniki in športnice, olimpijci in paralimpijci. Vsakdo izmed sodelujočih je prispeval svoj kamenček v slovenski olimpijski mozaik vrednot, ki jih poudarja svetovno olimpijsko gibanje.

The Slovenian Torch – A Symbol of Olympic Values and Unity

This year, we carried Olympic dreams once again, and we had our path clearly mapped out towards them! Not only to Paris, where the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad were taking place, but our route was also precisely charted across Slovenia. Together with our Slovenian torch, we spread the values of Olympism, connected people from all corners of the country, and inspired all participants of the three-month journey. In doing so, we aimed to give our athletes, who were representing Slovenia during the Games, an extra boost of strength and motivation before the opening ceremony.

The Story of the Slovenian Torch

The story of the Slovenian torch began before the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Born from the ashes and fire of the steelworks in Ravne na Koroškem, sponsored by SIJ – Slovenian Steel Industry, the torch carried a centuries-old steelmaking tradition and served as a tribute to all involved in its creation and to all Slovenian athletes. At the heart of each element burned a powerful symbolism, giving the torch a special, authentic Slovenian spirit. The handle was made from beech wood, symbolizing wisdom and confidence, and was embraced by the five Olympic rings. These rings are symbols of unity, one of the key values of the International Olympic Committee. The flame holder, shaped like a crown and engraved with the silhouette of Triglav, was made from stainless steel, symbolizing strength and durability. The flame within the crown of the torch radiated warmth and light, symbolizing hope.

The Journey of the Slovenian Torch

Despite its youth, the Slovenian torch became a recognizable symbol of Olympism in our country. During this Olympic period leading up to the Games in Paris, it began its journey in the eastern part of the country, traveled for three months across Slovenia and neighboring areas, spreading the Olympic spirit, and then concluded its journey in the far northwest of the country. After a three-year break, it set out again 100 days before the start of the Games – on April 17, 2024 – from the tripoint of Slovenia, Hungary, and Croatia in the municipality of Lendava. The Olympic spirit with the torch eventually reached the municipality of Kranjska Gora at the Olympians' Square in Mojstrana, where it ended its journey, as it had begun – at the intersection of three countries: Slovenia, Austria, and Italy. We bid farewell to the torch on July 13, 2024. This year, the torch also illuminated Slovenians abroad. It stopped in Gornji Senik in Hungary, Opčine above Trieste in Italy, Rijeka in Croatia, and finally under Ljubelj on the Austrian side of the Karavanks.

Connection and Activities

During its journey through Slovenia and abroad, the torch not only visited municipalities and spread the Olympic spirit among the population but also met with some of our sponsors and partners. Together, they promised numerous fun activities and prize games for both locals and all visitors and torchbearers. We are confident that the torch inspired municipalities across Slovenia once again this year, as it traversed its route in various ways and with interesting modes of transportation. In the hands of approximately 10,000 torchbearers, it withstood all weather conditions, thus spreading the Olympic spirit before heading to Paris. The torch was accompanied on its journey by sports enthusiasts of all ages, from preschool children, elementary school students, and high school students, to employees, people with disabilities and athletes with special needs, recreational members of the Slovenian sports community, and residents of nursing homes. Everyone was included in its journey. Lastly, among the torchbearers were also former top Slovenian athletes, Olympians, and Paralympians. Each participant contributed their piece to the Slovenian Olympic mosaic of values highlighted by the global Olympic movement.

La Torche Slovène – Un Symbole des Valeurs Olympiques et de l'Unité

Cette année, nous avons de nouveau porté les rêves olympiques, et nous avions tracé notre chemin vers eux avec précision ! Non seulement vers Paris, où se déroulaient les Jeux de la XXXIIIe Olympiade moderne, mais notre itinéraire était également soigneusement planifié à travers la Slovénie. Avec notre torche slovène, nous avons diffusé les valeurs de l'olympisme, connecté les gens de tous les coins du pays et inspiré tous les participants de ce voyage de trois mois. Ce faisant, nous avons cherché à offrir à nos athlètes, qui représentaient la Slovénie pendant les Jeux, un supplément de force et de motivation avant la cérémonie d'ouverture.

L'Histoire de la Torche Slovène

L'histoire de la torche slovène a commencé avant les Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo. Née des cendres et du feu des aciéries de Ravne na Koroškem, sponsorisée par SIJ – Slovenian Steel Industry, la torche a porté une tradition séculaire de métallurgie et a rendu hommage à tous ceux qui ont participé à sa création ainsi qu'à tous les athlètes slovènes. Au coeur de chaque élément brûlait un puissant symbolisme, conférant à la torche un esprit slovène spécial et authentique. Le manche était en bois de hêtre, symbolisant la sagesse et la confiance, et était entouré des cinq anneaux olympiques. Ces anneaux sont des symboles d'unité, l'une des valeurs clés du Comité International Olympique. Le porte-flamme, en forme de couronne et gravé de la silhouette du Triglav, était fabriqué en acier inoxydable, symbolisant la force et la durabilité. La flamme dans la couronne de la torche rayonnait chaleur et lumière, symbolisant l'espoir.

Le Voyage de la Torche Slovène

Malgré sa jeunesse, la torche slovène est devenue un symbole reconnaissable de l'olympisme dans notre pays. Au cours de cette période olympique précédant les Jeux de Paris, elle a commencé son voyage dans l'est du pays, a voyagé pendant trois mois à travers la Slovénie et les régions voisines, diffusant l'esprit olympique, puis a terminé son voyage dans le nord-ouest du pays. Après une pause de trois ans, elle est repartie 100 jours avant le début des Jeux – le 17 avril 2024 – depuis le tripoint de la Slovénie, de la Hongrie et de la Croatie dans la municipalité de Lendava. L'esprit olympique avec la torche a finalement atteint la municipalité de Kranjska Gora à la Place des Olympiens à Mojstrana, où elle a conclu son voyage, comme elle l'avait commencé – à l'intersection de trois pays : la Slovénie, l'Autriche et l'Italie. Nous avons fait nos adieux à la torche le 13 juillet 2024. Cette année, la torche a également illuminé les Slovènes à l'étranger. Elle s'est arrêtée à Gornji Senik en Hongrie, à Opčine au-dessus de Trieste en Italie, à Rijeka en Croatie, et enfin sous Ljubelj du côté autrichien des Karavanks.

Connexion et Activités

Au cours de son voyage à travers la Slovénie et à l'étranger, la torche n'a pas seulement visité des municipalités et diffusé l'esprit olympique parmi la population, mais elle a également rencontré certains de nos sponsors et partenaires. Ensemble, ils ont promis de nombreuses activités amusantes et jeux-concours pour les locaux ainsi que pour tous les visiteurs et porteurs de torche. Nous sommes convaincus que la torche a de nouveau inspiré les municipalités à travers la Slovénie cette année, alors qu'elle traversait son itinéraire de différentes manières et avec des moyens de transport intéressants. Entre les mains d'environ 10 000 porteurs de torche, elle a résisté à toutes les conditions météorologiques, diffusant ainsi l'esprit olympique avant de se rendre à Paris. La torche a été accompagnée tout au long de son voyage par des passionnés de sport de tous âges, des enfants d'âge préscolaire, des élèves du primaire et du secondaire, des employés, des personnes handicapées et des athlètes ayant des besoins spéciaux, des membres récréatifs de la communauté sportive slovène, et des résidents de maisons de retraite. Tout le monde a été inclus dans son voyage. Enfin, parmi les porteurs de torche se trouvaient également d'anciens athlètes slovènes de haut niveau, des olympiens et des paralympiens. Chaque participant a contribué à la mosaïque olympique slovène de valeurs mises en avant par le mouvement olympique mondial.
